The summer fun program is a great way to spend summer days with friends. Select any or all of our week-long sessions. Our fun and exciting Summer Fun Program includes tennis, arts & crafts, outdoor games, dance, songs, music, and special activities. Please bring water bottles, sunscreen, a hat, bug spray and a towel. Full Day participants please bring a peanut free lunch and snacks. Pack Extra Waters. All participants will check in at the summer fun drive-up station.  Pick-up is at 3:00pm. We are happy to offer Early Drop Off from 8:15-9:00am for an additional fee of $50/week. The Program will run Rain or Shine.  On rainy days, the program will be held in the Corey Gym at the Carlisle School.  **Payment due at the time of registration or space is not guaranteed. No refunds after 4/30/24 at 4:00pm unless your child's space can be filled. Program Open to Carlisle Students Only.

        

Week of June 17-21

Summer Mystery STEM/STEAM Activities Week
Dates:  Tuesday-Friday, June 18-21 (No Class 6/19)

Each day the children will be given a mystery STEAM/STEM bag with their challenge.  We want to spark their curiosity and set a great foundation of skills.  Days may change depending on needed snow dates.

Summer Fashion Design
Dates:  Monday-Friday, June 17-21 (No Class 6/19)
Time:   1:00-4:00pm *

Instructor: Making a Star
In Fashion Design, students will learn how to draw stylized, proportional fashion figures and how to sketch and illustrate their creative designs on illustration board. Classes will focus on illustrating realistic looking textiles and their draping using a variety of artistic mediums. Students will also be able to learn (with lots of discussion and class input) all about today’s styles. Students will also make accessories to go with their new fashion designs such as scarves, bracelets, and earrings.

Summer Handmade Puppet Dreams Beyond the Sock
Dates:  Monday-Friday, June 24-28

We will spend time reading stories and making our very own puppet. We will be reviewing many reading elements, for example, setting of the stories, characters in the story, mood of the story and many other elements. We will discuss the components of making a puppet. A puppet is an object, often resembling a human animal or mythical figure that is animated or manipulated by a person called a puppeteer.  On the last day we will have a celebration/puppet show with your puppet. *If your child is attending the Summer Fun program, Counselors will meet your child at the end of class and walk with them to Summer Fun.
 
Summer Calling all Animation and Comic Enthusiast

If your child loves to draw? This is a class you do not want to miss! Students will learn the basic principles of animated drawing. Animation can be funny, serious, or completely crazy. They will take their drawing skills to a new level! Sign up for this exciting program where students will bring ideas and drawings to life to tell their story through animation. Your child will put their creative thoughts into real life comic books. *If your child is attending the Summer Fun program, Counselors will bring your child to the Brick Building at 3:15pm.

 
Summer Tennis Camp
Dates:  Monday-Thursday, June 24-27 (Make-up Fri, 6/28)

Whether your child is a beginning or intermediate player, this program will improve their game and help them get more enjoyment from tennis. Our tennis programs focus on skill refinement as well as practice and match play to develop consistent, well-rounded tennis players. Skyhawks staff also instill positive life skills such as respect and sportsmanship. Participants should bring a water bottle, snack, sunscreen and wear appropriate athletic attire. Those with tennis racquets are encouraged to bring them. Every child receives an award certificate and Skyhawks t-shirt. *If your child is attending the Summer Fun program, Counselors will bring your child to the Tennis Courts at 3:15pm.

Summer Authors & Illustrators – Inspire Young Writers

This class is geared for children’s literacy and art. We will encourage your child, as we tap into your child’s creativity, we encourage them to express themselves with this unique experience of writing and illustrating. These resources promote writing basics to fantasy-writing inspiration. Children will use a hard cover book and soft cover book using multi mediums for their illustrations.

Summer Youth Paint Pottery & More 
Dates:  Monday-Friday, July 8-12     
Time:  8:00am-9:00am

Instructor: Magic Brush Pottery
Have you wanted your child to try paining pottery, creating with fused glass, canvas painting, or wood mosaics! Here it is!  During this class we will do 2 weeks of painting pottery, 2 weeks of fused glass, 1 week of creating with mosaics, and the last week we will paint on canvas.  Magic Brush will pick the pieces and teach them designs with a step-by-step class; the kids will pick their colors. Pottery paint is non-toxic and washable. Mosaics and painting on a canvas are decorative pieces and we use acrylic paint to decorate the pieces. All pieces will be returned by the end of the session.  *If your child is attending the Summer Fun program, Counselors will meet your child at the end of class and walk with them to Summer Fun.

Summer Pokémon Engineering using LEGO® Materials

Calling all Pokémon trainers! With the Pokémon Championship approaching, join our enthusiastic Play-Well Instructors as we build and catch our favorite Pokémon, rescue Pikachu from the Team Rocket, take a ride on the S.S. Anne to uncover rare and mystic Pokémon, and battle to see who will hold the title of Pokémon Master. Come along on our journey to catch ‘em all.  *If your child is attending the Summer Fun program, Counselors will bring your child to the Brick Building at 3:15pm.

Summer Artisan Jewelry

In this class, children will learn the art of jewelry design along with jewelry casting using multi mediums. This class will be an exciting and one-of-a-kind experience for your child. Each child will make one or two completed items each day. Children are encouraged to explore their creativity and are introduced to interesting color and texture while improving hand eye coordination, small muscle development and pattern making skills all in a relaxed, joyful environment.  *If your child is attending the Summer Fun program, Counselors will meet your child at the end of class and walk with them to Summer Fun.

Summer Amazing 100 Experiments Hands-On Science!

Instructor: Top Secret Science
Come join this very cool and fun elementary school summer program!   Over the past 30 years, Top Secret Science (www.TopSecretKids.org) has worked hands-on with over 1.5 million local children.  Each day the kids will explore up to 20 weird and wacky hands-on science experiments and will make and take home at least 10 different projects.  The scientists are fast-paced and funny and your kids will be thoroughly entertained (they’ll even learn some interesting things too).  We will explore weird motions and flying things, air and water pressure, crazy chemistry, light and sound, science magic, electricity, magnets, astronomy and more.  Be prepared for lots of fun stuff.  Each child receives a Free Top Secret Science Tee Shirt!  A wonderful 6 hours of science each day.  There will be 50% new projects from last summer.  Hope to see you there!!

A total Slime Takeover!! By colossally popular demand comes this squishy, squashy, stretchy sequel to our bestselling slimetopia program. This time, the world is being taken over by slime! You and your STEAM Team will ooze with excitement as you visit countries across the globe making a different kind of slime at each destination. From Italian pizza slime to Antarctic penguin slime to Hawaiian lave slime to tons of other slippy, drippy, gooey, global slimes in between.

Summer Basketball

This fun, skill-intensive program is designed for beginning to intermediate players. Using our progression-based curriculum, we focus on the whole player - teaching sportsmanship and teamwork. Boys and girls will learn the fundamentals of passing, shooting, ball handling, rebounding and defense through skill-based instruction and small-sided scrimmages. Participants should bring a water bottle, snack, sunscreen and wear appropriate athletic attire. Got an idea for a side-less taco, a shirt that never stains or a no-spill baby bottle? Then it’s time to put on your inventor’s hat and design the business of your dreams! As our Right Brain Curriculum teachers get you up to speed on business plans, market competition, budgets and presentation skills, you will bring your one-of-a-kind idea to life. You will design your flagship store, write and perform in your own TV commercial and create a prototype of a product that will change the lives of millions. Armed with your “elevator pitch” you will present your business to our volunteer panel of Sharks in the Shark Tank, persuading them to get behind your big idea! So get those wheels turning, it’s time to take care of business!  *If attending the afternoon session please pack and lunch and supervision will be provided during the 30-minute lunch break.

Our classroom will become a working newsroom as we write and publish a class newspaper! Don’t like that new school lunch they’re serving? Express your feelings on the editorial page. Going to the school soccer game? Bring your camera and reporter’s notebook and become a beat reporter for our sports section. Going to the new Frozen sequel? Write a glowing or scathing review. A new teacher at school? Sit down with the new music teacher at school and conduct a hard-hitting interview. Our Right Brain Curriculum instructors will teach you the craft of journalism, including investigative writing, research and editing. The Kids' Newsroom: It's hot off the press!  *If attending the morning session please pack and lunch and supervision will be provided during the 30-minute lunch break.

Summer Beginner Golf

Skyhawks Beginning Golf is powered by Payne Seward Golf Experiences, the recommended entry-level golf program for PGA Junior Golf. The unique, games-based play program and modified learning equipment make it easier for kids to hit the ball and experience early success. Putting, chipping, pitching and full swing are all taught through games, simple repetitive motions and learning rhymes that make it easy for young kids to remember and repeat. Specially designed, age-appropriate golf equipment is provided.  Participants should bring a water bottle, snack, sunscreen and wear appropriate athletic attire. Every child receives an award certificate and Skyhawks t-shirt. *If your child is attending the Summer Fun program, Counselors will wait with your child until the program begins at 3:15pm.

Let’s get creative with electricity! In this junior hands-on electronics class, students will gain experience with creating their own electronics, designing custom light-up greeting cards, electric games, mazes, and even musical instruments. Each class day consists of a circuity lesson and a hands-on electronics project, using components like lights, buzzers, switches, motors, and sensors. Circuit Lab staff will make sure participants create a project that they can be proud of each day. Using the power of code, students will turn Sphero SPRK+ robots into Magic 8 Balls, automated Red Light/Green Light games, and the arcade classic Pong – and Unruly Splats will become our voting machines, relay races, guessing games and more. *See Option for Combined All Day Program with Circuit Lab 101 for $390

Skyhawks provides a wide variety of fun, safe and positive programs that emphasize critical lessons in sports and life, such as teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship. Our programs are designed to give each child a positive introduction into sports while fostering a lifelong love for an active, healthy lifestyle. For this program, our patient and knowledgeable staff use a variety of skill-building games and activities to give each athlete a complete understanding and overview of many different popular sports and games. Multi-Sports and games include soccer, baseball, flag football, ultimate frisbee, kickball, capture the flag, dodgeball, and many more. Kids will play several different games/sports each day. Every child receives an award certificate and Skyhawks t-shirt.  Participants should bring a water bottle, snacks, lunch, sunscreen and wear appropriate athletic attire. 
 
Summer Mini-Hawk
Dates:  Monday-Friday, August 5-9
Time:  9:00am-Noon
Who:   Ages 5-7
Fee:     $175 (5 Days)
Location: Spalding Field, Church St
Instructor: SkyHawks
This multi-sport program was developed to give children a positive first step into athletics. Sports are taught in a safe, structured environment filled with encouragement and fun. Through exciting games and activities, participants explore balance, hand/eye coordination and skill development at their own pace. Participants should bring a water bottle, two snacks, sunscreen and wear appropriate athletic attire. Every child receives an award certificate and Skyhawks t-shirt.

Join On the Mark Archery and learn the martial art of archery using beautiful wooden recurve bows to focus more on the form and techniques rather than just the aiming. Build character, self-esteem and confidence with each triumph and tribulation on the range as you work hard to achieve consistent success! Unique lesson plans implement skill building drills with unique games that include prizes to keep students engaged throughout the program. All equipment provided and class is led by certified USA Archery instructors.

Release stress with arrows! Relax and unwind after a long day at work and sign up for a low-impact fitness course like Archery. This unique Olympic sport is one of the fastest growing across American and is easy to learn, but difficult to mater. The thrill of shooting a bow is unlike any other body mind experience and it involves form elements and strategy similar to golf, yoga, martial arts and even chess! All equipment provided and this course is led by certified USA Archery instructors.
