Rachel started practicing yoga many years ago as a training adjunct to running and playing tennis. Seeing benefits in others parts of her life, she deepened her practice by adding meditation and breath work. The combination of these practices has had a profound effect on both her physical and mental health, and she enjoys sharing these benefits with others. Rachel completed her 200 hour teacher training at Revolution Community Yoga, as well as supplementary coursework in Chair Yoga. In addition, Rachel has over 25 years of experience working with all ages and abilities as a licensed physical therapist. Off the mat, Rachel enjoys painting and photography. She likes the way these pursuits, like yoga, help her to be present, focused, and fully engaged.Program Summary: Vinyasa Yoga focuses on syncing asana (poses) with pranayama (breath). You will build internal heat to prepare your body for movements that enhance strength, balance, and flexibility. Rachel started practicing yoga many years ago as a training adjunct to running and playing tennis. Seeing benefits in others parts of her life, she deepened her practice by adding meditation and breath work. The combination of these practices has had a profound effect on both her physical and mental health, and she enjoys sharing these benefits with others. Rachel completed her 200 hour teacher training at Revolution Community Yoga, as well as supplementary coursework in Chair Yoga. In addition, Rachel has over 25 years of experience working with all ages and abilities as a licensed physical therapist. Off the mat, Rachel enjoys painting and photography. She likes the way these pursuits, like yoga, help her to be present, focused, and fully engaged.Program Summary: Vinyasa Yoga focuses on syncing asana (poses) with pranayama (breath). You will build internal heat to prepare your body for movements that enhance strength, balance, and flexibility. This flow class will include sequences in sitting, standing, kneeling, prone and/or supine positions. Modifications will be offered so that all levels of practitioners are welcome! It has long been identified that activities for our middle school children are a need in local communities. What better way to find out what our middle schoolers would like to participate in than to include our students in the brainstorming, planning, implementation and evaluation of a class or event. This opportunity will meet a well-known town need for middle school children and put Carlisle Recreation on the MAP for middle school programs. Explore some fascinating science “magic” while we make water disappear, grow glowing cubes and reveal beasts that expand to 800 times their size. Create shimmering crystals that grow on a piece of paper. Watch colors change before your eyes and make objects move using the power of science. *Recreation Staff will plan to meet the children at the end of the school day and walk with them to class. *Be sure to register for the Junior Builders Class at 4:30pm for an extra-long day of FUN! Staff will be at the brick building to supervise your children for the 15 minutes in between classes.

Make your own math game, build symmetrical designs, and learn about simple machines by building a lever. Design structures, animals, and communities in collaborative and educational challenges. *Be sure to register for the Science Magic Class at 3:15pm for an extra-long day of FUN! Staff will be at the brick building to supervise your children for the 15 minutes in between classes.
