Soccer Shots Dates:  Mondays, April 7-June 2 (No Class 4/21) (Make-Up 6/9) Time:   4:30-5:00pm – Age 2             5:05-5:50pm – Ages 3-5 Who:   Ages 2-5 Fee:     $250 (8 Wks) Instructor: Soccer Shots Location: Spalding Field, Church Street Soccer Shots is an engaging children's soccer program focusing on character development. Our caring team positively impacts children's lives on and off the field through best-in-class coaching, curriculum, and communication.  Soccer Shots Mini (2-year-olds) is a high-energy program introducing children to fundamental soccer principles, such as using your feet, dribbling, and the game's basic rules. Through fun games, songs, and positive reinforcement, children will begin to experience the joy of playing soccer and being active. Soccer Shots Classic (3-5-year-olds) utilizes creative and imaginative games to focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting. In each session, we also highlight positive character traits, such as respect, teamwork, and appreciation. At the end of each session, there will be a 'scrimmage' with one soccer ball.

Participants will learn the fundamentals of the sport and most of all to engage in new and old friendships during this dynamic clinic.

Young athletes will develop coordination, balance, and quickness through fun games, relays, and challenges designed to keep them moving and engaged.  Our goal isn’t just faster feet—it’s confident movers. We create an encouraging environment where kids build physical skills that carry over to every sport (and everyday life), while learning the value of effort, teamwork, and having fun through movement.  We focus on developing durable, adaptable athletes who enjoy physical activity—and keep coming back for more. *The Recreation Director will meet the children at the end of the school day and walk with them to Spalding Field. Impact Speed Junior - Program Updated (see above) Dates:  Mondays, April 28-June 2 (No Class 5/26) (Make-Up 6/9)  Time:   3:15-4:00pm*  Who:   Grades 3-7 Fee:     $175 (5 wks) Instructor: Impact Speed & Agility Staff Location: Spalding Field, Church StreetFocusing on FUNdamental skills and drills. Athletes are introduced to speed training in a high-energy environment, with games, relays, and competition that prepares children for sports and learning to enjoy physical activity. Positivity + Training = Impact Speed and Agility. This motivational youth program trains athletes at a competitive level, promoting positivity, confidence, and teamwork. *The Recreation Director will plan to meet the children at the end of the school day and walk with them to the field.Instructor Bio: DJ is the former coach for Acton-Boxborough Regional High School's track and field team, where since 2017 he has helped the team win 10 Dual County League Championships and 3 Division 1 State Championships.  DJ has also coached 1 MA Middle School Champion, 32 Division 1 MA Champions, 10 All-State Champions, 1 New England Champion, and 10 All-Americans. He has coached 70 Dual County League All-Stars, and 10 Boston Globe All-Scholastics. DJ was named the 2023 Boston Globe All-Scholastic Coach of the Year for Division 1 Track,  2024 MSTCA Coach of the Year, and 2024 USTFCCCA Coach of the Year.

This beginning program focuses on fun and repetition with a games-based approach that can be played on any surface. Specialized equipment is used to ensure early success for young players. Key skills like putting and chipping are taught through engaging activities. Ideal for beginners and those improving, join Skyhawks for rewarding progress with every shot!  Please bring a snack and a water bottle.  ALL equipment is provided by Skyhawks.*Recreation Staff will plan to meet the children at the end of the school day and walk with them to the field.

Track and Field - AdaptiveDates:  Saturdays, May 3-24  Time:  9:00-10:00amWho:   Ages 18 & UpFee:     $195 (4 Wks ) Location: Spalding Field, Church St, CarlisleInstructor: Parkinson’s Project StaffTrack and Field is the largest Olympic sport in terms of the number of athletes and number of classifications and categories. In addition to the races that take place on the track, there are a number of competitions that take place on the field inside the track. There are throwing and jumping events. On the field at each of these events, you get a chance to test your own ability and have fun doing so. Each participant will learn the importance of stretching before they begin any activity. Also, will talk about how nutrition can help their performance.
