Movement Coaching for the Gardener will introduce you to movement that improves posture and brings better body use to the often strenuous activity of gardening. When applied to gardening, this new way of moving will give you the mechanical advantage during motions of lifting, reaching, bending, pulling, and pushing, and create a more balanced workload for your whole body to reduce repetitive strain. Through practice of these movements, you can feel energized and toned rather than stiff and sore when you leave the garden.  Please wear clothing and footwear comfortable for movement and bring your garden tools (shovel/ pitch fork/rake or any other tools you’d like to be coached in using.)
Shirley Lynch, MS, OT, LMT, Certified Aston Practitioner™, is an occupational therapist and massage therapist in private practice in West Concord MA offering manual therapy, movement education and fitness.  For more information contact Shirley at shirleylynch44@gmail.com
