Learn a gentle and effective fitness routine, based on principles of natural movement, designed to loosen, stretch, balance and tone your whole body. Each class begins with movements to release habitual tension and improve posture before adding exercises that build strength. This sequenced approach avoids “toning in” or reinforcing poor postural habits that can contribute to repetitive strain, wear on your joints, and discomfort or pain. Exercises will engage your natural ability to recycle the forces of gravity to reclaim balanced postural alignment, tone your core, put spring back in your step, and live in your body more comfortably. Each class includes movement applications for daily activities in order to sustain the benefits. We will be standing, seated, and on the floor. Please bring a yoga mat and a bath-size towel to class.
