Commedia dell’ Arte Workshop (Improv) - Inclusive

Do you love acting but don’t enjoy heavy memorization? Do you have a lifetime of experiences, stories, or favorite shows to draw from? Are you curious about history or drawn to comedy? If so, this workshop is for you!
- Explore the art of Early Commedia dell’Arte, a 16th -century Italian style of theater that relies on improvisation and natural reactions.
- Rehearsals with fellow actors using newly translated manuscripts including one that hasn’t been performed in over 400 years!
- Create and perform a 450-year-old-play brought to life in fresh ways at every performance.
- Share your work with the community through multiple public performances in March 2026.
No theater experience required – just curiosity and a sense of fun! Transportation is available for Carlisle residents via our wheelchair-accessible van.
