Learn a gentle and effective fitness routine, based on principles of natural movement, designed to loosen, stretch, balance and tone your whole body. This sequenced approach begins with movements to release habitual tension and improve posture before adding exercises that build strength to avoid “toning in” or reinforcing poor postural habits that can contribute to repetitive strain, wear on your joints, and discomfort or pain. Exercises engage your natural ability to recycle the forces of gravity to reclaim balanced postural alignment, put spring back in your step, and live in your body more comfortably. Movement practices are based on principles of Aston Kinetics™ and Sensory Enhanced Yoga®. Each class will include movement applications for daily activities in order to sustain the benefits. We will be standing, seated, and on the floor. Please bring a yoga mat and a bath-size towel to class.
