Program Summary: This is a comprehensive and practical course that provides personal and professional dementia caregivers with the tools needed to navigate dementia care in any environment. By learning to recognize triggers, reframe behaviors, and master redirection techniques, you will enhance the quality of care you provide to individuals with dementia in both community and residential settings. This course also equips you with advocacy skills to promote dementia-friendly environments and approaches, ensuring that individuals with dementia receive the support and respect they deserve while maintaining their autonomy and working with everyone on the care team. *This program has been approved for 1.0 Social Work Continuing Education hours for relicensure, in accordance with 258 CMR. NASW-MA Chapter CE Approving Program, Authorization Number D 92715.
