Musical Petting Zoo with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra

The Musical Petting Zoo is a fun and informative traveling hands-on program and exhibit of musical instruments for children in grades pre-K through 4th grade.
Students will have an opportunity to learn about an orchestra and the musical instruments featured in an orchestra. They will get a chance to hear, experience and even play the instruments of the orchestra! Participants get a chance to bow a violin, blow a horn or tap out a rhythm on a drum. Instruments include: recorders, flutes, clarinet, trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone horn, violins of various sizes, a ¼ sized cello, guitar, auto harp, snare drum, micro maracas, conga shakers, micro cymbals, micro tambourine, sleigh bells, triangle, keyboard, and bells/glockenspiel.
