If you are looking to up your cooking game, shio koji is probably the answer! Shio Koji is an accelerated marinade and flavor enhancer.  It is made from koji, which is the essential ingredient in common food items like miso, soy sauce, and sake. It has been used for thousands of years in Asia and is starting to gain more popularity in the U.S.  You will learn what koji is and the chemistry behind what makes this a wonder in the kitchen. Emily will show you how to make shio koji: an incredible marinade and flavor booster that will make every burger or vegetable you cook turn out delicious.  You will make and take home your very own jar to experience the magic yourselves. *Please let the instructor know if you have any allergies. Bring a notebook!
